1. Lectures Series
Within the space of three months, from November 24th to February 2, 2007 , the artist lecture series will invite one artist each month for a lecture and discussion. Through each multifaceted discussion, we hope to create a sustainable platform from which to share and communicate artists’ research projects and creations to the public.

2.Artists Talk Series

Including Ann Lislegaard, Robin Rhode and Matt Bryans

Hosted by Kate Fowle, International Curator at UCCA

 

An informal evening of presentations and discussion with artists who are in Beijing to do research for upcoming projects at UCCA.

Working across sculpture, performance, collage, drawing, photography, sound and video, the artists push the boundaries of their practice by experimenting with materials and language. Robin Rhode and Matt Bryans will feature in UCCA’s first international group exhibition; ‘Stray Alchemists’ opening on March 8th, 2008 while Ann Lislegaard is producing UCCA’s first site-specific sound installation.

 

3. Film screenings- “Chinese film in the 1980s”
This series of screenings will provide an overview of the films that had a deep impact in the 1980s, it also reviews and explores the style and form of the cutting edge film exploration which characterized the decade.
