Between the years of 1987-1988 the ¡°Tactile Art Group¡± used a collective work method to focus on planar, expressive shapes that completely abandoned individualism and all other forms of traditional media. Through sober, symbolic texts, they expressed the feeling of skin. In the ¡°Tactile Arts Manifesto¡± they proclaimed: touch art is the fastest, most direct method capable of evoking a reaction from people. Artists and the public participate together, and the relationship does not exist in the passive and active¡ artists no longer use their personalities or other narrow-minded notions to influence and antagonize the audience. Everyone collectively placed themselves in a pure and independent space where there was no need to explain or to understand, no need to investigate or to communicate¡ the audience and the artists were communally faced with the greatest possible amount of freedom and repose.
